Corporate Partner of the Year: Community Bank
Date Posted: October 14, 2021
Community Bank, formerly Farmers and Merchants Bank, is one of the fastest growing financial institutions in the South with more than $4.3 billion in assets, 51 offices, and over 850 staff-owners in four states. Despite their growth, Community Bank is not the product of big business or a large, metropolitan area. In fact, Community Bank is filled with people just like you – little league coaches, volunteer firemen, members of local chambers of commerce, church choir members, parents, children, and neighbors – working together towards the same goal of building a better and thriving local community.
The numerous customers and staff who are a part of the Community Bank family would tell you that their growth and success isn’t all that complicated. It simply lies in their continued commitment to community and year after year upholding the same small town values that they were founded upon. The Community business model is summed up into one word: people. People are at the heart of what they do.
That includes the children and families served by MS Families for Kids. Over the past couple of years, Community Bank has been a major supporter of MFFK. They have supported the agency through contributions to agency fundraisers, sponsorship of families for Christmas, and through continued support of the sustainability of the agency throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, Community is working with the agency to help MFFK find a permanent home. The dedication that Community Bank has made towards a small organization striving to do great things across the state is exemplified in their belief statement…
“Community Bank believes honoring simple values leads to a better quality of life for both our staff and our customers, and we strive to run our business in a way that puts those values into action each day.”
