Respite Caregivers Needed- Priority Given To Those That Apply By May 5th
We are urgently seeking respite service providers to offer temporary relief for families with children who have special needs and their siblings.
You can make a big difference for families in the state while being paid for your services by Mississippi Families for Kids in partnership with the Mississippi Health Department. We offer compensation of up to 8 hours a day, mileage reimbursement, and yearly: training, orientation, and background checks (required).
Our respite families are in need of providers that are willing to form a relationship with them, be open to learning how to best care for them, are reliable, and can:
– have transportation and willingness to travel up to 50 miles to families’ homes
– have or are willing to get CPR certified (reimbursements available for class expenses)
– have a flexible schedule to meet the immediate needs of the family
– be open to overnight stays at the families’ request
Services most often are provided at the families’ homes, but can be provided in your home, if the family allows and conditions are met.
If you or anyone you know is interested in providing paid respite services, please contact our Respite Care Coordinator, Taryn, at tmcdonald@mffk.org to apply or ask questions.
